Most Drainage Software is built by people or businesses who don’t understand the job.

Re-skinned from another trade, generic, and often quite expensive, as soon as I went solo after 20 years in a national UK drainage franchise from General Assistant > Engineer > Senior Engineer > Operations Manager, to now solo operator of DrainHub, I couldn’t quite find the right fit.

Having some ideas still knocking around from working within a franchise, mainly finding the link between engineers, office and site history, and things like customer facing reports cumbersome to create, I spent many late evenings building DrainOps from scratch.

My first goal with DrainOps?

To create, manage, close and export jobs on any device – some days I might not have time to close jobs and invoice between jobs, so I need to do them all from my desktop at home.
Other days I need to close and invoice there and then. Done from my phone.

Many times I’ve carried out a simple job for a domestic customer, and within minutes I’ve sent them a full photo job report and invoice, and been paid before I leave site (which is a result as it avoids being paid by card/contactless and waiting days to be paid by Stripe, minus the percentage cut).

This isn’t just some vague one shot built by AI from someone throwing sh*t at the wall to see what sticks. I needed a system so I built it.

From concept to working software, DrainOps is has been used on live drainage for most of 2026. Managing jobs end to end, logging site evidence, generating professional and branded reports, and keeping invoices moving.
